Labor Support and Breastfeeding Education





  

   Ensure a successful and joyful breastfeeding  

            relationship with your child!

 

This fun and interactive series is designed for new mothers as well as those who have tried breastfeeding, successfully or not, with a previous child.  Everyone will learn something new!

 

Fathers, partners, or other support persons are strongly encouraged to attend the classes with mothers.  Having a strong support system is an important part of developing a successful breastfeeding relationship.

 

The class curriculum covers the benefits of breastfeeding for the whole family, the risks of alternative milk, the emotional aspects of breastfeeding, common techniques, special scenarios, and problem solving.  The emphasis of the information will be to create a supportive and proactive environment for the new family.  Participants will leave the class with a wealth of information and a solid understanding of the availability of breastfeeding resources.

Classes are held monthly in Boulder.  Please see the following page for the class schedule by date.  *If desired, individual classes or small group classes can be held at alternate locations.

                            

 

Individual Breastfeeding Support               

I offer personal guidance, education, and support to families at the beginning and throughout the duration of their breastfeeding relationship.  Information at the right time can make the difference between continuing to breastfeed and deciding to stop.  Please contact me to set up an appointment if you think that you might benefit from some extra support.
