My Background
I am certified as a Lactation Educator with the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) and as a Birth Doula with Doulas of North America (DONA). I am also a volunteer for Bright Beginnings, a state funded home visit program connecting prenatal and new families with available community resources, and a recent donor for the Mother's Milk Bank of Denver.
My personal childbirth experiences include an induction due to complications and a natural birth of a preemie. Both of my sons have had stays in Neonatal Intensive Care nurseries and have had challenges breastfeeding, however we have gone on to enjoy extended nursing. I have also had the pleasure of being under the care of doulas both for birth and during the postpartum period.
Memberships: The Colorado Doulas Association, Bellies, Birth, and Babies, CAPPA, and DONA.
Certifications: CD(DONA), CLE(CAPPA)
